BALTIMORE, MD – AUGUST 2, 2023 – Delegate Bhandari’s office wishes to sincerely thank the various community associations in District 8 for their enthusiastic participation in the National Night Out held yesterday. The outpouring of community spirit and civic engagement was a testament to the strength of our local communities. Delegate Bhandari joined fellow elected officers from District 8 at  National Night Out event throughout the district.

The Community Cookout at Freedom Church and Linover Improvement Association’s Block Party on Fullerton Ave sizzled with engaging fun. Mouthwatering barbecue, lively music, and interactive games brought people together, creating a strong sense of community.

In addition, Harford Park Community Association’s Block Party and Cookout, Perring Park Citizens On Patrol’s block party featuring Kona Ice Truck, and the Overlea Community Association’s Community Potluck dinner contributed to a beautiful evening of community engagement and interaction.

Likewise, the Delegate appreciated the innovative Movie Night organized by the Loch Raven Village/Knettishall Communities at Babcock Presbyterian Church.

“The community spirit exhibited by all the participants is commendable,” Delegate Bhandari commented. “I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of such a vibrant and inspiring evening.”

Delegate Bhandari would also like to thank the local law enforcement and fire department personnel who participated in the events. Their dedication to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all community members is greatly appreciated.
